Wellow Maypole Celebrations

Time: 12 noon-5pm

Details: come and celebrate the ancient tradition of maypole dancing in this lovely village. The event starts at noon, but make sure you arrive by 3pm to watch the crowning of the May Queen, followed by maypole dancing. Other attractions this year include: falconry displays, long sword and 17th century country dancing, Punch and Judy, street jesters, live music, stalls, games, rides and amusements. Bring all the family for a great afternoon out.

Cost: free to come along, with a small charge at stalls etc
